Ehlers-Danlos Awareness Month
Posted by Stephanie Sparkes
Welcome to our new Kuvrs blog!
We wanted to keep you up to date with everything happening at Kuvrs HQ, details of our new fabrics, and information about any special campaigns that we will be running in the future. Plus, we'll be adding some of our happy customer stories, and tips and tricks to help you when dealing with having to wear a cast or a splint.
We're kicking off with our special campaign for May in support of Ehlers-Danlos Awareness Month.
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a genetic connective tissue disorder that is classified into 13 sub-types, and can include joint hypermobility. Obviously we are not experts on the condition, so if you would like any more information please follow the link below to the Ehlers-Danlos Society.
Some people with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome find that they have to wear splints or braces to provide extra support to joints, and so we decided to create a special splint cover for people with EDS and to donate some of the money from the sales of it to support the Ehlers-Danlos Society.
Why the Zebra?
If you're wondering why we chose a Zebra fabric, then please follow the link below.
So we now have available wrist and thumb splint covers in both our 'zebra' and 'equus' fabric, plus a new product in our neck brace covers in the same fabrics. We hope that the campaign can raise lots of money to support more research into the condition, and to help our customers 'dazzle'!
